Quite literally the only signs along the highway, and highlight of this morning
We saw the Great Salt Lake this morning on our way out of Salt Lake City. It was huge (similiar to an inland ocean) and it smelled salty. Shocking how that works. I was reading about the Great Salt Lake from the tour book and almost missed it…..sometimes my nerdiness blinds me to amazing sites. The lake was surrounded by mountains. In a way it reminded me of Lake Atitlan in Guatemala.
We are now on I-80 West…..and just saw this series of signs: Drowsy driving causes crashes. Drowsy drivers, pull over if necessary. Next exit 5 miles. Good advice.
Josh is easily bored with straight, non-adventuresome driving — it’ll be my turn soon. We just saw some Salt Flats…..they aren’t that exciting, but we’re loving ‘em.
